With small to medium-sized device series for DIN rails, you are often faced with a dilemma: It is often not effective to create your own DIN rail housing. At the same time, standard DIN rail housings are usually unnecessarily wide, because a PCB connection terminal or a pin strip must be installed in the housing for the PCB connection. The resulting double wall thickness can hinder a compact or special device design. This is where the new design kit from PTR HARTMANN offers an innovative solution.

Compact design and integrated connection technology

With its design kit for DIN rail housings, PTR HARTMANN offers a solution that is as compact as possible due to the connection technology integrated into the housing. The customized PCB and many device options enable special devices for the DIN rail. The new DIN rail housings have a standard width of 6.2 mm, which makes them extremely compact.

Exclusive devices for various DIN EN 60715 DIN rails

The integrated connection technology from PTR HARTMANN enables the creation of exclusive devices for DIN EN 60715, TH 35-7.5 and TH-15 DIN rails. This versatility covers various DIN rail standards and thus offers a wide range of possible applications.

Flexibility and customisation

Housing widths of up to 15.0 mm are possible thanks to different housing covers, which allows the use of higher PCB components. Up to six conductor connections with push-in technology are available in one housing. Where no connection points are required, blanking plugs can prevent the unintentional insertion of cables or the ingress of foreign bodies.

Customised assembly and options

The PCBs are assembled to customer specifications, inserted into the housing and soldered to the pre-assembled contact points. The housings can be customised. From the width of the housing cover to various housing options such as disconnecting blades, LED prism, earthing foot, housing openings, number of contacts or actuators for slide switches - the design kits make it possible to configure standard housings into customised housings for the DIN rail housings.

Accessories and additional functions

Insulated bridges and labelling clips in various colours complete the range of accessories. The DH2 rotary switch can be integrated even in the narrowest 6.2 mm housing. This offers setting options for 10 or 16 addresses or parameters on the front of the DIN rail housing.

Stability and labelling options

For wider enclosure variants, a support on the cover ensures that the enclosure does not tilt or wobble. The enclosures are supplied complete with all selected options and with optional customised laser labelling or printing on the conductor entry points or the side panel.
